What is active foot printing
active foot printing is were you actively go to the target and make contact may it be talking on the phone sending a email contacting employees or visiting the company this is more hands on recon.

passive foot printing is more public this info can be obtained online with search engines social media people search .

common ways to do your recon
we will start with active recon there only one way to describe active recon its like you are planning to rob the place
dumpster diving you can get info by going true the trash its a messy job but fuck it hahaha
applying for a job
ring the target or company
contacting them on social media this includes the employees of a company or the target
emailing them
visiting the target or company
now we move on to passive recon
passive foot printing is the public info like there Facebook page as info that we can use to manipulate are targets like hobbies,movies,family members stuff like that
we can also use search engines like google ,yahoo ,bing ,duckduck so on ….. or we can use people search to find are target but me personally i use google dorks to help me narrow down my search.
so lads now under stand the why we need to do are recon this the frist part of are section on foot footprinting (recon) even tho it is short u can understand why we need it
